Tioga County

Tioga County, PA, located in the "PA WILDS"  was formed on March 26, 1804 from parts of Lycoming County.  The name, derived from an Native American word meaning "the forks of a stream", honors the Tioga River.  Tioga County is the proud home of the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania is a 47-mile gorge carved by Pine Creek in northcentral Pennsylvania.

It is a land of pristine wilderness where modern conveniences are only a stone's throw away. Fishing? One hundred miles of stocked streams and seven lakes. Canoeing? You haven't done it until you've done the Pine Creek through the Grand Canyon in the spring. Hunting? Some of the best in the East.
